In the forum post, Paradox has also stated that its other games might also get a subscription service at some point. Those who don't buy the expansions will lose access to the content, however, when their subscription ends. The ability to buy the expansions and DLC won't go away, and players will be able to purchase them to ensure that they still have access to the content even if their subscription lapses. Paradox has made it clear that those who already own all the DLC and expansion for Crusader Kings 2 won't be affected by the subscription service.
